On October 27th, PlayStation 3's Trophies will be available through an update to GTA IV over the PlayStation Network. There will be 51 Trophies (which are PlayStation's version of Xbox Achievements), to players to collect in the game. The Trophies are not retroactive, which means you will have to do things you may have already done over again to unlock the trophy. Thanks to GTAGaming for the news! Link: Gamers Platform |

Italian magazine The Game Machine has released new details about GTA IV for the PC: - The replay editor can record, save and edit the last 30 seconds of the game. Once you have saved your video, you can open another piece of internal software in order to change the point of view and add special effects. The montage editor allows you to edit various replays into a single sequence, add audio tracks from the official soundtrack of the game and add effects like transition from a sequence to another. You can then upload and publish your videos to the Rockstar Social Club to share them with the world.
- The GPS map has been improved. You can now point and click with the mouse on a specific location and make notes or add images to personalize it.
- Improved streaming will be possible with the power of todays processors. If you have seen cars on the road that matched the car you are driving, this has been somewhat fixed. More pedestrians and vehicles will be visible.

The newest issue of "Edge" magazine reveals that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will live up to the GTA name. Houser says the game is not family-friendly nor kid-friendly and that "we weren't interested in making a game that we wouldn't normally make." The article goes on to talk about a new feature that contributes to the rated M game: "Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will have a complete drug dealing minigame, which will allow players to peddle six types of drugs around the city. Players will make a profit by recognizing market conditions and demands based on geography and plying their wares accordingly." For the full article click here. If you would like to read the full article with the interview of Dan Houser, you can catch it in "Edge" issue 194. Thanks to Jordan at PlanetGTA for the news! |
