A commercial for the upcoming DS title, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, has started airing in the US. The commercial is roughly 30-seconds long and contains very little gameplay footage. The majority of the commercial is animated artwork with no voice overs, just text at the bottom of the screen. The commercial concludes with an advertisment from Gamestop offering an exclusive pre-order bonus : Start the game with $10,000 and access to Ammunation right from the start. The commercial is now viewable over at Gametrailers.com. |

The Lost and Damned, the much anticipated first downloadable episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV, is now available exclusively on Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Marketplace! The download costs 1600 MS points. It takes approximately 1.78 GB of hard drive space.
We know that GTA-Division.com has not done the best job of covering The Lost and Damned news and updates. We apologize, and we hope to make up for it in the near future. So go on! Go play it! Watch out for naked guys. And be sure to come back here for the latest L&D updates...and of course, Chinatown Wars. |

Earlier today, Kotaku posted an article stateing that Rockstar stepped it up a notch and included "full frontal (male) nudity" in The Lost and Damned. The nudity appears in one of the episode's mission's cutscenes. To prevent myself from revealing any spoilers, I won't give any more details. If you would like to read more about the cutscene, you can read Kotaku's article. Kotaku also mentioned that Rockstar may have taken it too far. They mention that there is "no lack of of homosexual innuendo". Even though the episode will be available for download tomorrow, if you would like to watch the cutscene that contains the nudity, 1UP posted the entire thing. If you want to watch it, you can watch the entire cutscene right here. This little addition of "full" nudity didn't go unnoticed by ESRB. While Grand Theft Auto IV contains the "partial nudity" label in the rating description, The Lost and Damned got an upgrade. The Lost and Damned's ESRB rating just says "nudity". Even though nudity is in the game, the rating for The Lost and Damned is still M for Mature. |

It's been about a couple of months since we have done any solid updates to this site. The entire staff has been away taking care of other business. In general, our focus has been on just getting the entire Division-Gaming Network organized and under control. We brought in some more help, and finally got a solid game plan in place. Now that we have that taken care of, we can once again focus on individual sites. As in previous network updates, GTA-Division.com will once again be the first site to get the update. This next update will bring with it a new look and feel to the site. We hope we will be able to stick with this new look for a while. Over the last year, we have played around with dozens of different layouts. None of them really satisfied this site's needs. Hopefully this new one will. We expect to show off the look very soon. Once we get the new look up and running, we will once again start posting news on here. Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned is almost here, and we have missed a whole lot of news and updates for it. Sorry we missed it. |

Several gaming websites released their first round of previews of the next upcoming Grand Theft Auto title, Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars. Just to catch you up real quick, Chinatown Wars is a title set to be released exclusively to the Nintendo DS March 17 of this year.
Some of the main details picked up from the previews are: - The stylus is used right away when Huang Lee must break a window of a sinking car.
- IGN reports the "F" word is used frequently by pedestrians.
- Audio is lacking in the game. There are some original songs, but all liscensed music is "instrumental"
- You can climb up fire escapes to reach rooftops
- Instead of fleeing the scene of a crime to get rid of your wanted level, you will have to kill all near by police officers.
- Doing doughnuts in your vehicle before you drive off gives you a speed boost and also shoots out fire which can light nearby pedestrians on fire
- The PDA serves as your email and text message viewer, GPS with waypoints and favorite locations, contact database, music player, money manager, and gun shop.
Check out every detail yourself by going to the following previews: Thanks to GTAGaming for all the details! |

Congratulations to Rockstar on releasing Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC on tuesday of this week. Now onto the bigger part of the story: Many problems are occuring with Grand Theft Auto IV PC. Technical issues with audio, graphics, and a huge list of other things are occuring. Rullon and I agreed upon the following statement (maybe this statement should have been the tiltle of this story), "GTA IV PC, its so good its horrible!" Before buying the game make sure your system can properly handle the game. We will post a list of all the system requirments soon. It seems like the graphical aspect of GTA IV for the PC is so good, most computers can't handle it. If it comforts you any, Rockstar sent out this statement today concerning the problems: We are aware that a small number of fans are having problems running GTA IV on their PC’s and we would like to assure them we are working to help solve these as quickly as possible. We would ask anyone that is encountering difficulties to contact their local technical support helpline for advice and recommendations. These telephone numbers can be found in the game’s manual. There is also a regularly updated technical support page available on the Rockstar Games website http://www.rockstargames.com/support/where there are many useful faqs and information on how to resolve some common problems being encountered.
As more information becomes available we will be sure to post it right here on GTA-Division! |

New details have emerged about the Episodic Content for Grand Theft Auto IV! And this time, it's something you'll actually care about. Read for yourself below: This new episode, available Feb. 17 via download exclusively for those who own the Xbox 360 version (no price yet), stars Johnny Klebitz, a member of Liberty City biker gang The Lost. "Johnny is a very different character than Niko, with a very different background," says Dan Houser, vice president of creative development for Rockstar Games. "I can't go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released. But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City." The episode, titled The Lost and Damned, requires players to have the full version of the Mature-rated GTA IV (ages 17 and older) and an Xbox Live membership to download. It's likely to carry an M rating, too. This article was published yesterday, Wednesday, November 19, 2008 on USA Today's website. You can get the full details (including four high-resolution screenshots) by clicking here. |
